Looking at Daily Driver stuff. Fog lights made the list pretty quickly (yes it gets pretty foggy sometimes in Seattle, and the drive Seattle-Spokane will see fog in the mountain passes as well).

Wondering what other people have done - type, mounting, feelings about whether what they did worked well or not.

Photos highly encouraged.

I had my fogs clip-mounted to my front bumper in front of the grill on my '76. They were stolen in college, so I mounted another set behind the grill to stay hidden but still work ok. Some have found retrofit sealed fog beams for placement where the factory high beams go.

If you are truly after fog lights, that will be difficult. Almost all lights on modern cars are not fog lights, but driving lights.

Fog lights have a beam pattern which is very low and wide, plus short, to avoid reflecting out and off of fog, back to the driver. Driving lights project out and up or straight like normal headlights, and much farther out than fog lights.

So the hard part will be to identify real fog lights, because most aftermarket lights are going to be advertised as fog lights.

I hope to hunt some one day for my LSC and my Mountaineer. My OEM "fog" lights on my SUV are among the brightest you see, oncoming drivers hate them. I rarely use them, only like high beams for other bad drivers.

yes, most people today don't mount or use fog lights properly, just seen numerous examples a few minutes ago coming home and it's not foggy! they need to be mounted a lot lower than your head lights (to get under the fog) and turn off your head lights so the light doesn't glare back at you, using the low lights to see under the fog

YUP, I want to add real FOG lights(under the bumper, hung low) and then a pair of DRIVING lights on top of the bumper.
I had a pair of each on my cars back in the day, separate switches and use them correctly and they DO WORK!
As said, have to be careful what you buy that SAYS fog lights, most are just driving lights

Yes, FOG lights are yellow/amber.
If they are white...driving lights.
