Bought this column several years ago from a guy along with a truckload of other parts. It was part of a 4 speed setup, so I didn't pay that close of attention to the column itself. Lots of activity and I wanted to score what I had my eyes on. Anyhow, I was looking for a tilt F100 column in my garage and saw this sitting on the shelf next to a '75 Cougar floor-shift column and finally noticed they were not the same. Not for a 1972-1979, but I have no clue what it is out of now.

It is a floor shift column, and is out of a Ford. Does anyone recognize what it could be out of? Sure would appreciate any suggestions.

This is what I know by simple comparisons in my garage:

Not a 1972-1979 Ford intermediate
Not a 1967-1968 Cougar or Mustang
Not a 1979-down F series

It is factory green, so that narrows down the field, as only certain years had green as a choice. It also has the ignition switch on the column, again narrowing the field. Green tape is holding some extra screws it came with.

Has a small odd "lip" at the base of the collar and 2 different plugs (top and bottom).

Todd, it does look like a 1970-1971 from the pictures. It won't do me any good if so. Disappointing.

Joe Troy Leming deals in all the 70-71 stuff on FB. I can get him pics and see what he says?

That would be great. Thanks to Todd, Mike and Carl for the info. I never plan on getting a '70-'71, so I won't need this one. Did check online, and that generation column seems to be a bit more pricey than the ones before or after. Why, I do not know, but that is a good thing, I would think.

Todd, are you still interested in the fender splash shields? I have them boxed up.

Joe,
Yes, still interested, BUT.... right now I am cash strapped, can you hold them another week or so? I have been so broke lately, I am willing to kill someone so I can have a paying job burying them. Sad ain't it. Let me know if holding on to them is OK and what type of payment you accept. Todd

Heck, let me know an address and I'll go ahead and ship them if you need them. Don't worry about money right now (I never worry about any of our members when it comes to these things). Ever.

Joe,
I truly appreciate the offer, but I can not accept, I would MUCH rather have paid for something first than to owe anyone. I hope this way of thinking hasn't offended you in any way. If another member here is in need of the splash shields to finish a project, they would be put to better use, I was just wanting to have a second set on hand in case a problem with one or both of mine arises. Once again, I appreciate the offer and you holding them this long for me as it is now. Hopefully in a week or so I can send payment and get them off your hands, but if another member has a greater need for them, they "should" be the one to purchase these. Let me know a payment method and I will send it as soon as my work picks back up, giving you a "heads-up" first of course. Todd
