C6's came in two bell housing patterns, one for all SBF's and one for the big blocks. The SBF C6 is much more rare, those were mainly in the early 70's. I doubt they made them after about 1974, which meant for a 351W, those weren't "performance" models then.

They made C6 for F150, with 302/5.0, 351W, and 300/4.9 I6

C6 also has an FE bell often called the 'round' bell this page says there are 5 different C6 bell patterns The C6 was used in trucks and cars with
larger engines. Five different bell housing varieties exist for use with
various Ford engine families: The Windsor pattern was used on the 300 I6, the Ford Windsor engines and the 351 Cleveland. The 460 pattern was used on the 351M and 400 and all of the Ford "385" engines. The FE pattern was used on the FE engines The rare 66 - 68 Lincoln MEL 462 pattern which was used on 66 - 68
Lincoln Continentals with the 462 engine and also on 68 - 69 Lincoln
Continentals with the 460. This pattern rounds off on the passenger side
to clear the heat/AC box on the 66 - 69 Lincoln firewall. Diesel pattern. This was similar to the FE/"385" pattern but the two are not interchangeable. ------------------------------- the Windsor pattern as they are calling it, comes in 2 different styles, smooth round around the top of the bell and a finned version with about 5 fins stretching from the top bolts area to the main trans housing |

Funny, I'm getting old and forgetting how many dumb changes Ford made back in the 60's and 70's. "Let's make a five bolt bell housing pattern, owners will have a hell of a time swapping around engines and transmissions with that." Ford has had the dumbest engineers working there forever, you cannot count all the dumb things they have designed. I am not saying they haven't had very good engineers, but they have made some of the worst design and planning errors you could think of. Example, here's what they came up with for exhaust manifolds for a 302 into the Explorers; Could anyone on their worst day ever come up with something that horrible?
