Hi Guys
here in Oz  and I have foote500's old car 72 GTS Q code
I am just having the trans rebuilt and had a new stall converter built
so the guy ordered a converter for a 351c and it doesnt match up with the original drive plate from my research the 72's had a smaller converter ?
does anyone knoe what the balance weight was on the original drive plate was it a 28oz or 50 oz it has a longish skinny weight on the rim just wanting to know the original balance weight on the drive plate
thanks
Dave

far as i know  28oz, i just researched all this for my current windsor stroker build... from what i understand around late 80's / early 90's they went to 50oz. everything before that was 28oz...

Ditto, 28oz for the balancer and flexplate. The 50oz began with the roller 302's and the change to the Cleveland firing order. So you can tell by the firing order for 302/351W's, and yes that was in the late 80's. So the 1985 HO 302 was the first, and all HO 302's, which began going into the other Fox chassis cars in 1987, I think was the first for those.
