I agree, and the later 77-79's did have very good updates, features etc. The downside was that was the late 70's when everyone but the big three were tired of really big cars. So the sales were way down, and Ford had to revamp everything quickly. Tons of things changed after that, and it left the 70's cars to be unwanted in general faster than most had before. The 70's Fords were plentiful in most junkyards in the early 80's. I saw them all but I didn't have the money or space to save much of them.

Hey Guys! Thanks for the compliments!
I personally think Ford and Mercury did a great job on these cars right from the beginning (72-79). There isn't a year I don't like. Great styling and lines on all of them and functional. They weren't the most powerful but certainly the classiest. There are a lot of nice rides and great projects on this forum! Great work!
