Good day to you all.  I’ve been viewing the forum for a while but thought now’s a good time for an introduction.

I purchased a ‘68 Torino S-code Sportroof last September in Ontario.  I live in British Columbia.  I’ve been working on other car projects so put the Torino on the back burner until now.

This car was imported into Ontario in 2005 from California.  Older restoration, runs well but needs some minor cosmetic work and some wiring issues sorted out.

My first car 40+ years ago was the twin to this one.  They both left the factory in “Seafoam Green”, 390 GT’s, bucket seat/console cars.  First car was repainted dark green.  This car is maroon.

My car experience was developed by restoring and modifying MGB’s and a ‘74 Mini.  Since I’m moving on from those, I started looking for another Torino.  This is about as far away from MGB’s as one can get…:)

Will post photos when able and I’m sure I’ll be asking questions along the way.

Cheers
Simon Austin

Welcome! I upgraded you to have full forum privileges, so you can upload the photos. Going from and MGBs and a Mini to a Torino is quite the change! Does your user name have anything to do with Avro Aircraft?

Can't wait to see the pics.

Thanks Vince.  I’ll get some photos up ASAP.

The user name is a version of what I do for a living.  Nothing to do with Avro unfortunately.
