Hello everyone and thanks for letting me join your forum!
Just purchased a 72 GTS project car with 351 4V and 4 speed, Rallye equipment group, and AC. Sort of a bucket list car for me as I've always loved the fastback version and unique front and rear of the 72. The car's sat for some time but cleaned up good with a pretty nice original interior, but rusted out trunk floor and some rust in floor boards. Pondering first steps at this point but thinking a rebuild of the engine and fixing the rust are at the top of the list. Looking forward to soaking up everyone's knowledge and help finding parts!

Welcome! Wow, you found the holy grail of 72s - Q-code, 4-speed and Rallye equipment group! Very nice. Post some pics of the car when you have a chance. Did you get a Marti Report?

Thanks! Totally agree about the holy grail part! The color code on the door tag was blank, so I did order a Marti report. It was a special order paint car. I believe this is original paint - black. The lowest stat on the Marti report was one of 414 for special paint/trim code.

Very nice! If you are willing to share, post your Marti report, I'd love to see it. Or you can also post it on this thread here:

John - (Californiajohny) I'd be interested in hearing about your trunk floor! I've been looking on line and haven't found anyone that makes a reproduction part. I'm in the St. Helens/Scappoose area so not that far away.

Here's the Marti report. Appreciate any feedback from you all that know more about these than I. I thought it was interesting it was ordered as a fleet vehicle, that seemed odd but don't know. It was a nice Christmas present for someone back in '71! I bought from the second owner, the car has headers on it which he swears came from the factory, has anyone heard of that?

Sweet ride. If the engine is going to be built, pull it and do the trunk and floors while you wait. Pop the transmission cover and have a peek. New clutch and turn the flywheel if it is still good.

Hi John - just following up on the possibility you've got a trunk floor you are willing to part with?
Thanks, Todd
