Hi There all!
I live in New Zealand, almost at the bottom of the worldSmile
In July 2020 I bought a 1973 Mercury Montego GT with a 400ci engine.
I currently have a couple of project cars I've been slowly working on for a few years. A friend of mine told me a couple of years ago that i was crazy and should buy a car that's already on the road so that I can start enjoying going to various meets etc.
Well, I had nothing better to do in 2020 and while browsing online spotted this car, 1 month later it was mine. I'm very happy with it.
Anyway, i'm looking forward reading the forum and possibly making a few posts myself.

Thanks Ken
Ken

Welcome Ken! I have upgraded you to a new member so you have full forum access.  Post some pics of your Montego when you have a chance. It must be a very rare sight  in New Zealand, as even in North America they are rare. We have a few other members from Australia and New Zealand too.

Welcome aboard Ken. Please post some pictures to tease the masses. Then start a project thread so we can follow along and help if needed.

OK thanks, here's a couple of pictures. It's been in NZ since 1973, it was imported from Missouri. Luckily it's been garaged all its life and in very good original condition.uploads/6583/beach_hop.pdf

I am in Auckland, but those were the prices in March at the Beach Hop in Whangamata. I use 95, and the price of 98 scares the hell out of me.Smile
