Ok, I’ve gone through everything I can..... no answers—

So, is there a list of PART NUMBERS, not codes, for laser stripes? I have a complete NOS ‘73 set. I BELIEVE it’s supposed to be a blue set, but I’m not about to peel any paper off just to look. I’m not going to need a blue set, but might be interested in trading for a set that would go on a red car......

I just want to verify color by the part numbers.

The part numbers for the stripe kit is always D3OZ-6520000. Depending what color the kit has there is always an A, B, C or D at the end of the part number. I am not 100% sure but i believe the part numbers are:

D3OZ 6520000-A - light gray to dark blue
D3OZ 6520000-B - yellow to Brown
D3OZ 6520000-C - yellow to Red
D3OZ 6520000-D - light Green to dark green

I am 100% sure that the D3OZ 6520000-B is yellow to brown.

  Brown - Yellow to Brown

I have never seen that part number before. Is that a ford stripe kit box or is an aftermarket stripe kit box? The D3OB means it's for a '73 torino or gran torino.

I can only see the first 13 letters and numbers in the part number, which is D3OB-65208A09A, what are the last three numbers or letters of the part number? It appears that someone stamped the part number upside down on the instructions section of the box.

could this number on the stripe itself be a Ford 'engineering' number rather than an actual part number?

Yes most likely. That is usual to have different numbers on the actual part, than the official part number. I learned that in the late 70's, but I didn't understand the explanation my part guy told me then.

I think the other guys are probably right, it's an engineering number.  I don't know how these numbers translate to the parts number, I'd "guess" it's blue, because it has the "A" in the first portion of the number D3OB-65208"A" but I could be wrong.  I checked my parts catalog and it had no other new information either.
