Looking for info on a 400 crank , is there a better year than others as far as quality , is anything over .20/.20 not worth putting into a new motor , and actually locating one !?!?
Are any of the crank manufacturers making a new 400 crank , other than TIM Meyer ?
Rebuilding the 351m , 208 thousand miles  on it .
Any up to date /2022 info would be great !
Thanks

any luck? FWIW Tim doesn't make cranks but he does source them from trusted / quality vendors

another direction you can take is using a 351W crank with 3" main journals and a 4" stroke but you'll want to use the lightest weight pistons & rods you can because the 351W crank counterweights should be smaller / have less mass but aftermarket cranks may not be as much different from a factory 400 crank if that makes sense. factory 400 cranks have big / large mass counterweights, 351W cranks not so much but the aftermarket trend seems to be that the counterweights are bigger than stock.

so what's up?

Just bought a 400 motor and trans out of a 79 Lincoln ,112000 miles , picking it up in the next few days . Runs great , so I will use that to rebuild and keep the down time to a minimum on my car
