Hi, I 'am a new member and I'm working on putting a Torino back together. It looks like most of the sheet metal has been replaced and the vent is hooked to the tank in the trunk and loops around but there isn't any hole for the tube to exit the trunk, so the trunk will someday turn very dangerous.

Does any one know what the end of that metal tube hooks onto, or where it exits the trunk?

Thanks Newbee Steve
Thanks any help appreciated, Steve

I don't know is sometimes the smartest answer. I once saw a reallllllyyyyyy smart guy take an entire interior out looking for a open circuit, and I asked if he checked the fuse . Thats when he turned green. LOL or CryClapCry
Thanks any help appreciated, Steve

Steve,
There is a hole with grommet below the pass side taillight housing on the factory metal.  I doubt this would be accounted for in repro sheet metal.  The vent tube runs below the trunk opening and then loops up and is held by a bracket at one of the taillight housing screws.  It then drops down thru floor to a hose that is stuck into the rear frame rail.   This is on hardtop, I assume the sportsroof is similar.
