I wish there were a picture showing the transmission pan. The body tag says it was originally a 351 car with C4. If it's 351M, apparently you could get that with a C4, meaning the bellhousing would fit a 429. But unless the C4 has been built up, I'd wonder how well a stock 1970s C4 would hold up to the extra torque from the 429.

1972 Gran Torino station wagon, light blue, 351C 2V, prior owner upgraded to 4V (2V heads), originally had a C4 but prior owner changed to C6 for some reason.
