Late last season, my original radiator met its end: I did a coolant flush on it and proceeded to loosen a bunch of gunk that was apparently holding the thing together... oops ^_^. Anyway, this gave me a good excuse to try my hand at a radiator swap, and get good access to the old belts which also needed replacing.
Here's what it looked like with everything out... geez, there's enough room for a little party in front of the engine LOL! Note the new air pump belt installed (that was such a pain to get in there...)
I was going to get just a re-core of the original rad, but for $50 more BS&B Radiator of London (Ontario) hooked me up with a brand new unit that was an absolutely perfect match! Tank widths, fittings, everything was the same, I was very pleased! It's now the shiniest part of my engine bay, hands down :).
With the new hoses, rad and belts, she purrs like a kitten (nice pun, eh?) with no squeaks or leaks... and no dramatic belt flappin' like the old belts did.
