Anyone know what shade of Blue and brand is the closests to original for a 72 engine? I have used Por-15 on my 70 Torino Cobra engine years ago and it looked good. Thinking about going that way again for the block. Only problem is I would have to use a spray can for the valve covers and don't want engine to be two shades. Not a issue with the 70 cobra as the valve covers were finned aluminum.
Thanks
Also what black to you guys use for brackets.

I always use whatever I think looks the best. Not what it came with. Not a restoration guy.

duplicolor sells a nice match ( dark engine blue). I have used this on all of my engine rebuilds.

In my opinion "old ford blue" by duplicolor is the closest color wise at least in a rattle can.

That is the color my engine block appears to have been, but my valve covers and air cleaner are lighter. Advance Auto has the Duplicolor cans on sale for $5.00 at the moment (instead of $6.59 I think) and I'm tempted to pick up a couple.
