I have a 73 bumper that I originally wanted to replace, but after closer inspection looks useable. I have dents by the jack holes from a bumper jack. How can I fix that without making it worse? Will it always be noticeable?
Thanks!

best way is to fix it with the bumper off and place a block of wood on a flat surface like concrete
then put a thin blanket down and turn the bumper on it's face where the dent is with the block of wood resting against that area.take another block of wood(2x4) and a big hammer(large ball pein or mini sledge 3-4 lb) hammer out the dent from the back side hitting the wood with the hammer and work the dent out.The wood will absorb some of the impact so it won't make small dings like a hammer will directly with the metal and the block underneath with the blanket will protect the chrome but also act like a dolly and only push out the low spots. work the bumper metal till your satisfied with it and bolt it back on and your done
