Ignition lock cylinder broken 1970 GT

   I could not get the cylinder to go back into the lock position and I wound up breaking the cylinder which now must be replaced. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done? Also is there a way to reuse my old key?

OK I bought a new cylinder and have a locksmith coming Wednesday, we'll see how it goes.
