Hi,
I would like input on which accessory bolts to use Loctite or RTV (or nothing) on: Alternator bolts, bracket bolts, pulley bolts Power steering bolts, bracket bolts, pulley bolts A/C Compressor bolts, bracket bolts, pulley bolts Fan screws Engine mounts Transmission to engine flange bolts Thanks! If tightened/torqued correctly to spec, you shouldn't need anything. I have never used Lok-tite or RTV on any of those fasteners listed. Certainly not RTV and Lok-tite would give additional protection for a bolt/nut loosening, but would be an absolute PITA if wanting to remove the fasteners.

silicone or any trapped liquid/solid can 'hydraulic' and bust out the casting when you tighten the bolt use the red sparingly! |
