Hi, my name's Dave, and I recently bought a 1968 Torino GT, pretty nice car needing a little TLC, so I want to do some research and find a few parts to get it where I want it to be. I'd post a picture, but I don't think I'm allowed to yet, anyways, it's good to be here, Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum. As far as parts, may be worth the drive for you to Wymore, Nebraska. They have around 40 acres of cars and a fair amount of 68-69 cars still there.
Watts Auto Repair and Salvage. These were from 2021...but can give you an idea of the place from a walk through I did for most of the yard. I have three videos on my YT channel: |

I actually have the car for sale on carsonline.com it's a Brittany blue 68 S code convertible, kind of getting cold feet on selling it though, I'd like to fix it up some and enjoy it a few years.

Post the URL or make a classified post. We'd hate to see you sell it so soon though.

It's no longer for sale, I need a convertible for Summer. I gave up the picture thing, because I get an error code everytime I try and load one, I'm just too old to be on the computer Thanks!

Yeah, I had a trade deal in the works, but my Torino was more cool and rare than the trade.

I put my # in the ad, so I don't have to back to the site, but I hope it's still active, cost me $45 to place it. VERY slim chance that anyone would pay that kind of money for the car, so I'm not worried about getting a buyer, more concerned about fixing a few things such as different wheels and a transmission seep. I'm getting it plated/insured next Week, I have a 1968 MO plate, so going try and use it, we'll see how that goes.

I'm changing out the wheels next, going with either original GT or Cragar SS. The rear of the car sits lower than I like, so I ordered some lift shackles from Mcbay performance, going to raise it 1-2 inches. My old ad on carsonline says the car had a rust spot on the quarter, a buyer called and wanted better pictures of that area. I admit I didn't look the car over very good, just took the seller's word that it was rust. I get down on the ground to take the pictures of the rust, turns out it was a very thick blob of road tar, probably been on there since it was parked in 77. It came right off with some gas. I buy/sell a lot of old cars, but have had very few that were this solid, that was pretty much the deciding factor on keeping it.
