Hey guys. I thought I was already sub'd to this site but I belong to so many forum sites I've lost track. I've always wanted a 72 Gran Torino Sportsroof, even before I ever wanted a Mustang. I grew up in Dearborn, MI, and my dad worked at Ford for 47 years. I was 12 years old in 72.

I havent found a GTS yet, but I just got a 78 T-top Thunderbird. Under the skin it's basically the same car. I will be looking for a few of the parts in common with the Gran Torinos, Cougars, Elites, and LTD IIs.

Welcome Tom!  I have upgraded you to a full membership privileges, so you can upload pics.  Show us your T-Bird and feel free to post some of your other cool rides you have listed.  1972 GTS's are getting harder to find these days, but stick around here and hopefully was can help you find one.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm a MEDEVAC helicopter pilot, and I'm in Dallas for annual training this week (I'm getting too old for this crap!). When I get home I'll be able to take a break and post a few pics (and work on getting my new barn finished so I have a place to work on the projects!)

Thanks again,
T.

Tom,
Some pics of your daily flyer would be nice too. A barn is something I had been dreaming about untilwe added a new puppy to the family. Lol
This site is the best as you will see. Welcome.
