Not sure were to put this question so thought of posting it here.
Can anyone tell me why my factory fan is "offset" = blades are not placed uniformly symmetrical. Wouldn't there be some conflicting balance issues with it ?

It's for the noise, when blades are symmetrical, they make more noise

Very interesting, I suppose the only stresses (if much) is on the water pump only. |

No stress. They are actually balanced that way.
Wonder how many of the older 7 blade fans are still out there and never got changed? There was a massive recall on them as they had a slight tendency to fly apart. They were supposed to be replaced with the 5 blade. I still have one of each.

If it were me, I'd shelve the flex fan and run a clutch fan. Less noise, higher MPG, more power.

I don't think so, except the big blocks. Should be a fairly easy interchange though.
