I finally determined that my '70 Torino GT has a standard axle with a 3.00 ratio (thanks to MartiAutoWorks for generating my build sheet from a VIN).

Is there any way, short of swapping axles, to convert the axle into a locker?  Fitting new internals into the case?  Even if it requires substantial work, it will be cheaper for me to go the conversion route rather than swapping -- the car is currently in Poland with my father, and while labor is dirt cheap in Poland, shipping a few hundred pounds of car parts to Poland is not.

Thanks in advance for any tips or wisdom.  Even if it is to tell me that the only thing I can do is swap in a locker.
