Yea. It looks nice! I tried to get a good look at the taillights but was hard to tell from the camera angels.

I've been hoping they would do a front shot of the car.

No. Unfortunately here at my apartment I don't pay for cable. I have to try and catch up on my shows the 27 hours that I am at my house. I will have to look for it when I get home.

It appears to be a 77-79 ranchero, I have caught a few peeks at it. Last weeks episode shows it the best, t I believe it has custom tail lights, Cadillac maybe.

I saw some Caddy tail lights customed into something, there was 3 on each side horizontal with the reverse lense to the middle...

I started thinkin maybe Caddy lights would work in the Ranch ?

it's a 77-79, maybe it will show up more in a future episode. Maybe shorten the bed and put it on a 2-door frameSmile.

I always thought a 2 door formal with a stubby Ranch box & tailgate would be

I dubbed it the Torino-bucket, or T-bucket

I guess a more door would be a Crew Cab

but yeah I wonder if Danny digs on the Chero ?

My idea for a Ranchero is to graft the Ranchero rear section on to a 2 dr Gran Torino then throw it on a F350 Dually chassis with custom dually fenders.

WHY you ask?
Because grafting the Chero rear on to the 2dr will give me a full cabin with a back seat, the full effect and working side windows without that stupid(My opinion only) forward angled door window.

so you want the Xtra Cab. I believe there was a company that did some Elites like that, it had a back seat but it was cut down smaller than stock. on a longer chassis I don't see why you couldn't do the full size rear cabin space but I haven't looked at it real hard either

darn I thought I had a pic of it too but it got away somehow

Just a quick, throw together.
The C-Pillar(let's not go there on THAT argument again) of the Chero was lined up with the Torino.
So it would have the same length as the regular Torino.
Of course as you see there is a body line line-up issue with the side scallop that would have to be corrected AND the frame would need a stretch. lol
Just a WILD IDEA!!

All of this to have a 2DR Ranchero with a full cabin/backseat and working rear side windows.

For Regul8r's plan:
Ranchero uses a wagon floorpan/chassis with a 2-door windshield/A-pillar/roofline, so you could add a torino rear seat to a ranchero
So, you take a ranchero and cut the roof off above the back of the door windows. You use the quarter skins for the ranchero, but not the rear of the roof,  and splice the rear of the torino roof into the ranchero roof, keeping the top edge of the torino quarter by the rear side windows. Take the fillers out of the bed that cover the rear footwells, install the rear bracing for the back seat, and bring metal down from the torino rear window to the floor of the ranchero bed. On the interior, use the torino parts to mount rear side windows and back seat, and rear seat side panels . Either swap torino glass into ranchero's doors OR use torino doors/windows. torino 2 doors and rancheros use the same windshield, so the door glass will fit at the A-pillar. (I think I thought about this too much...Smile)
