no ones has done any tucked bumper cars? I've always though a Mustang II would look good with a nice thin smaller bumper front and back. ------------- Mach1000 |

Well I finally got the front bumper back on the car today. And it looks like I got a bonus front bumper tuck to. good to know, did you have to ditch the filler panels or trim them in any way, or just swap torino mounts on and go? |

It all went right on, the only thing I noticed is that it squished the flexible corner fillers a bit. sweet! I have a hunch the mercury guys will be buyin up torino bumper mounts now lol Might do this with the 74 montego i got from utah. be nice if there was a easy tuck for the rears  |

I really don't know. I got them from John at blueoval6079 parts in GA. Just told him I needed from mounts for my 75 Cougar. Just assumed they were the same I guess. The old mounts were rotted off, so can't really compare. i moved the rear bumper on my 74 torino in about 1-1 1/2" (i'll have to check) two ways to do it...redrill the bolt holes in the frame forward the amount so that the bumper brackets/absorbers can be slid into the frame more, or "joe" the i-beam part of the bracket/absorber back the amount from the plate that mounts to the bumper reinforcement and reweld the plate back in it's new location ------------- JOHN 74 GRAN TORINO S&H CLONE 74 VETTE CUSTOM 90 S10 BLAZER 4X4 LIFTED 77 CELICA CUSTOM 75 V8 MONZA SUPERCHARGED 79 COURIER VERT. Joe helped weld the "rough tuck" on the rear of Lola at Louisville in 2014.It was actually EASY.We removed the inner bumper support, that huge heavy chunk of steel.and the stock brackets welded directly to the bottom edge of the inner lip of the bumper itself. we used a small piece of metal to make the top weld connection to set it at the correct angle.
