Hey guys. New to the site, and love all the advice on the site. I have a 76 2 door gran torino s&h clone. I've been at the resto for about a year or so and I'm making progress . I plan on posting pics soon. From what I've seen on this site everyone replacing floorpans is cutting through the supports/ seat track area. The floorpans I ordered came in three pieces. A front section, underseat section, and rear floorpan section. Has anyone replaced the floorpans without cutting the supports, or installed the pans in pieces? Any advice and especially pictures would be appreciated.

I didn't replace my whole floor pan, but I did cut out the drivers side seat brace, replace some rot on the floor and welded the seat brace back in. A buddy of mine pointed out that Ford went through the trouble of designing and installing that for a reason.

I just cut it at the door sill and the trans hump and it was pretty easy to tack back in. I think I did have to fab up a couple of L shaped pieces to reinforce the seat bracket to floor part a bit (the factory part rotted in a few places). I wish I had pics' but its not too hard.
