Subject: Custom machined aluminum wheels

I was watching OVERHAULIN last night and Foose did a special wheel for the Tbird they were building and it gave me an idea. Has anyone ever worked with a machine shop or wheel builder (or know of one) that can actually design and cut the wheels for the average Joe? Hey... that's ME!! LOL

That would depend on your "average joe" budget?  I think you are in for a minimum of $3k+ for anything custom assuming no CNC program has to be written from scratch.

Not to steal the thread, but has anybody had a set of aluminum slots top surface machined down for that new wheel finish and what was the cost?

I did a set in a lathe 30+ years ago. We had an old axle shaft cut off about 8" long to fit in the chuck and bolted the wheel to that.
