Can someone please tell me the difference between the 1977 Ford LTI II body codes 65D & 65B? I recently purchased a 1977 LTD II and noticed the 65D is listed as a 2 door hard top and the 65B is a 2 door hard top "S".

The b is a striped model. 302 cloth seats no options. Most people confuse the s to stand for sports. 65d could be a bron (sp) sports or touring package.OP. were anything you wanted. All I know is 79 850 +r- 65b 18000 65d were made. For 200 or 300 and you tell marty all the opt you have they can figure out how many were built.

Thanks, mine has a 351, gauge cluster with tack, engine turned dash, tilt, power windows, power locks and power steering, power trunk release and the LTD II stripes. The color code is 3V which I believe is Bright Blue Glow and Magnum 500 wheels.

If you remember the dash in the Trans Am's ? The dash my car is very similar only instead of a shiny chrome like it is a charcoal gray color. There is no wood grain on the dash at all. I am working on posting pics.

Rockatansky  , thanks for the link. This is what my dash looks like. Does anyone know how popular or rare the engine turned dash is? I thought at first this was just an aftermarket add on but I found this option in a 1977 Ford LTD II sales brochure. I have never seen it before, only the wood grain dash but my exposure to many of these cars is very limited. If anyone has any unique information to share about the LTD II's especially the cars with the sport appearance package that would be very helpful. I ordered a Marti Works report this afternoon. Once that is delivered I will share it with everyone.

I like that dash, only have seen in ranchero.Sounds like a nice car.The marti report should be interesting. 10 yr ago I sent for the basic one. The letter I received stated ford did not keep records of packages or opt. after 74. For 200+ dollars they could go through records and come up with a general idea of how many were made.Good luck.
