Hi,

I would like input on which accessory bolts to use Loctite or RTV (or nothing) on:

Alternator bolts, bracket bolts, pulley bolts
Power steering bolts, bracket bolts, pulley bolts
A/C Compressor bolts, bracket bolts, pulley bolts
Fan screws
Engine mounts
Transmission to engine flange bolts

Thanks!
Mike

If tightened/torqued correctly to spec, you shouldn't need anything. I have never used Lok-tite or RTV on any of those fasteners listed. Certainly not RTV and Lok-tite would give additional protection for a bolt/nut loosening, but would be an absolute PITA if wanting to remove the fasteners.

Yeah, It's a Hybrid...It burns gas and tires.

silicone or any trapped liquid/solid can 'hydraulic' and bust out the casting when you tighten the bolt

use the red sparingly!
