Question about front shocks and the correct size?
1972 Ford Gran Tornio Front Gas Shock different lengths which is correct?

KYB Gas-a-Just KG4515
Extended:       14.57"
Compressed: 9.65"
Stroke: 4.92"

KYB Excel-G 343128

Extended:       15.16"

Compressed: 9.45"
Stroke: 5.71"

Monroe Sensatrac 5801

Extended:       14.375"

Compressed: 9.25"
Stroke: 5.125"

Following this one. Need a set as well. I am leaning owards the longest stroke.

I agree if your running stock. I plan on lowering it about 1-2 inches.

I am not sure what the correct length of the shocks would be extended and compressed, but I suspect all of these you listed would fall into the range of suspension movement.  Often times shocks have more than one application, which is why they may have slightly different specifications depending on the model.

FWIW, I run Bisltein 24014960 and 24014953 and both have enough travel to allow the suspension to full compress and extend without reaching the limits of the shocks.

Those are the front and rear part numbers (actually I think I listed the rear and then front).  Bilstien does make a "comfort" version of this shock too, but I wanted the heavy duty.
