Good morning! I'm Jerry and new to the site. I have several questions pertaining to my Gulfstream Aqua 1968 Torino GT sports roof. It is a 390 CI with a C-6 automatic trans, black buckets, and a very solid body. I am looking forward to sharing ideas and asking questions regarding my new purchase. My first 68 Torino GT was purchased in 1975. This new one is to help relive some old memories!

Welcome. When you are upgraded, please post some pics. We all like to go back in time when possible even if our bodies disagree.

I have NO idea why anyone would paint the motor (and other components) the same color as the car but I do know it was done by two owners ago or further back than that as I knew the guy for years that I bought the car from. Also, the original color was Springtime Yellow

very nice!
well im a custom guy, and i like to paint the engine body color  for a cleaner look and it make the chrome accessories stand out more Wink
not that i don't appreciate the effort spent do a full correct stock restoration that can be just as much work as well.

Beautiful car, Jerry.  I bought my ‘68 for similar reasons.  My first car 40+ years ago was a similar model to the current one.  Both left the factory in Seafoam Green.  #1 was painted dark green when I bought it.

No idea what the current colour on #2 is but I think it looks good.

Welcome!
