Howdy!

Living in Florida these days but trying to track down my original car from when I lived in Indiana.

2h38f190801 - That's the VIN for my 1972 Ford Torino Sport, 2 door, Hardtop, red with black vinyl. I owned it from new in 72 to having sold it in 1978 in Spencer, Indiana to Hayes Chevrolet.

Have googled and read most of the suggestions on tracking something down from that era, I know the VIN decoders and trackers today all need the 17 digits of modern vehicles.

Thought I would join here, share my info, and who knows - sometimes you can get lucky.

Id be grateful for any help or information that anyone here might have to share.

Thanks so much and best to all....

Welcome and good luck with the search. Post it in the classified section with the VIN in the subject line and I will make it a sticky post. I also upgraded you to a new member so you have full forum access.

Just a thought but you could check with the Marti Report people and see if anyone has run that VIN?
