Wondering if anyone who has removed the A/C box off their 
Firewall on a 74-76 Cougar / Montego has a picture of what that looks like before you patch it in ?

Generally, if you take a piece of flat stock sheet metal, you can weld in. Worst case, just use a piece of cardboard, trim out the shape you need on paper stock (I like keeping thick paper/poster paper) and then transfer to metal. Drill a few small holes and bolt or pop rivet it to the fire wall. Seal with a bead of seam sealer caulking and call it a day if you can't weld the opening shut.
