Hi there my name is Blake I have a 1972 GTS that was originally my grandfather's car. My dad purchased the vehicle for me in '89 and stored it till I was the age of 16. At the age of 16 I did not want the vehicle did not like the car so my mother started driving it as for everyday vehicle to work. After about 10 years my parents were going to sell it but by that time I was interested in the vehicle and wanted it. After receiving it for my father it said in a garage for another 10 years until I have the money to start putting into it. Which it really didn't mean much. I ended up finding a low life mechanic to be the work for me and before I knew it it turned into a 9-year nightmare. Just recently received the car back of course it doesn't run right after restoration. After having my wife's uncle look into it and get the car up and going I still have a few bugs that were trying to work out.

Welcome to the forum! I have upgraded you to a new member and you have full forum privileges.  That is quite the story about your Torino - family owned cars are the best.  Hopefully we can help you get the bugs worked out - there are lots of people here with great knowledge and experience.  Post any questions in a new thread and/or start a project thread.

Tell us more about the car or post some pics when you get a chance.  What engine and transmission are in it?  Is it a fastback or formal roof?  Any cool options?

Here it is One of the big problems that I was having was with electronic fans but we figured that out last night. Another thing I'm looking for the mounting clips for the chrome trim around the windshield and the rear window. I'm missing a few here and there does anyone know where I can purchase these

It's got a 351 Cleveland bored 30 over, small cam with Edelbrock RPM heads. Automatic transmission on the column.

That looks really great. Ford painted about a bazillion cars that color or real close to it back in the day. I had 3 at different times.
