I am building a 514 for my Torino and consdiering cams.

I am using Dove-C heads from a 71 lincoln with 1.72 Rockers.

The cam i am considering is:
Cam: Ford Racing M-6250-C460
Hydraulic
Duration 310/320
Lift .588/.614
I would be getting the ford-recomended valve springs for this cam ofcourse

Can Dove-C heads handle that much lift? are there any other considerations i should be aware of?

The dove heads are fine just make sure you have the right springs for your cam. You may need to machine the seats for your springs. If it were me I would port the heads to get the thumb bump out of the exhaust side for better breathing.

Yeah already got the porting taken care of, and the heads have just been rebuilt recently, i was hoping to save them from another trip to the machine shop but i think i will take them to machine the seats just to be safe.

if those heads aren't allready machined for an adjustable
valvetrain you should have it done, trust me,unless you
like bent pushrod
