I read that the non-station wagons have 2 1/4" drums, but when I took mine off today to measure, they were closer to 2.5", like the station wagons. Am I measuring the right area, or did XR-7s get the station wagon size because of the "heavy duty" suspension?

Measure across the brake shoe.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. When I check the drum, too, it is 2.5" edge-to-edge, but the actual fully-finished surface is only about 2.25".

Thanks for the clarification!
