belieive it or not that was usually left up to the PDI (predelivery inspection)guy! my former dealer liked to install the decal opposite the vehicle insignia on the trunk lid.(insignia on rt,decal on left).being that it isn't factory installed it can't be concours correct.just having an original  documented Tasca car is awesome enough! Are you located in CT?

have you tried  google image search or anything?
like John said it was put on by the dealer so was up to them,I doubt they could tell you where they put it as no one would be still employed from 1970.It's not like they used a template and i'm sure they had a general location which on most dealers installed them on the trunk or rear body panel if it
it had an area under the taillight but because of your year it would have been on the trunk

just to give you an idea, here is a Galaxie that has original paint so this should be the original
placement on this car

I know a Torino would differ slightly but this gives you an idea

Tasca used a chrome emblem not a sticker/decal.Dealers back in the earlier years had emblems as decals were not available, not sure when  dealer decals started

Ron,you may have to really research this one futher, and you may not still find the answer that your looking for.As you probably already know, Tasca does a show, that may hold the answer.I personally haven't attended, but everybody that I talk to about it says it pretty awesome.with lots of vintage tasca cars in attendance both  dealer owned/spectator cars.If you've been a ford guy for a while,Do you know a local guy named (ebay)Milt 1967-1969 mustangparts?he sells alot of vintage ford mustang/torino stuff on Ebay.He knows his stuff on old  ford preformance.he would be one to ask.If I can find his cell# I'll PM it to you,no promises I still have it? Were you at wethersfield DMV a couple of weeks ago getting your car inspected?

this is a convertible and has a dealer emblem on the trunk lid

but looking at photos the  fastbacks have a different trunk

and some have different taillights.I don't know alot about the earlier Torino's

did the Cobra's have individual taillights and the GT's have the taillight that went all the way across??

I think the ones your talking about are 19701/2 Falcons (rare) & the Torino's had the lites that go all the way across.

umm look at the photo's they are all Torino's
I think the GT had the taillight all he way across and the non-GT and Cobra's had the individual taillights.
I may be wrong about the lights but all the cars above are Torino's

well maybe Tasca didn't put the emblem on as it wouldn't fit on the decklid
is your trunk original? I thought those emblems were screwed on so if the trunk is original and no holes maybe they left them off.
I really don't see where they could but it to fit right

May have put a decal on the bumper of the GT cars, since there was no other area.
