Dual exhaust will add about 5-7% horsepower, beter throttle response,  and you don't have to touch the engine. Plus, it's easily reversible.

K&N filters, Synthetic lubricants, electronic distributor, headers, aftermarket intake and carb, 5.0 FI setup. All of these will improve your driveability, performance, economy, and actually enable you to reduce your emmissions.

stock points distributor?

i'd install an ignition points eliminator module kit if you don't already have one in there, or some other form of electronic ignition. benefits are faster starts, smoother running, better fuel economy, no more buying points and adjusting them... the module will pay for itself rather quickly and a happier engine to boot Clap

my personal preference is to stay away from the GM style cap distributors that cause interference issues with everything else under the hood(intake manifold, air cleaner housing, fuel line). then there's the Cry quality issues. the module kits that install in the original distributor cause no secondary issues and retain the stock Ford appearance

Yes, I'll take a 4 pin GM HEI module in my dizzy and one of those giant Ford TFI external coils to replace the tin of oil that I've got now. Just have to get up the nerve to take the dizzy apart to do it. Have never gone deeper than plugs, wires, cap, rotor, reluctor wheel, and wipe any dust off anything else I see.
