Hi all, new here. I have a question. Heres my build:
1968 390 +30 4.25 scat crank Flat top mahle pistons Hydraulic roller comp cam 234@50 .587 lift 112° seperation Lunati hydraulic lifters link bar Harland sharp rockers 72cc edelbrock heads Performer rpm intake I measured pushrod length tonight and got 8.33125 Leaving no threads underside of rocker allowing 2 threads of adjustment per harland sharp. Does this number seem right to anyone with a similar 445 stroker build???

Your length seems a little short. It does depend on how much head and block work was done. I would get a good adjustable push rod and install it and get a correct measurement. As much as push rods cost now you don't want to buy more then one set. I would check each push rod because there is sometimes different length's for each push rod depending on your block. Greg

Also make sure the pushrod length is taken with the lifters internal plunger at about 1/2 it's travel, if the plunger has .060" travel you will want about .030" preload when the pushrods are installed.

Yeah, It's a Hybrid...It burns gas and tires. No matter how good she looks, somebody, somewhere, is tired of her sh*t. Beauty is skin deep, ugliness goes clear to the bone. |
