Can anyone give me a tip on removing the bed rails on a 72 Ranchero. I have fresh paint on the car and don’t want to harm it.

You have to pull tail lights to get at the rear most bed corner attachment nuts. On the upper trim, you will need to get under the headliner in the corners to remove those upper corner trim attachment nuts. The bed trim is held in mostly by clips that the trim "snaps" onto, requires a light touch and a removal tool that has a tang on it to get under the trim and allows the trim to be pulled away from mounting clip. You can use a small bladed screwdriver, but be careful.

Yeah, It's a Hybrid...It burns gas and tires. No matter how good she looks, somebody, somewhere, is tired of her sh*t. Beauty is skin deep, ugliness goes clear to the bone. |
