I am humbled by the honor and plan on sticking around. Lots of hard work went into t
hat machine but in the end I was just not able to do the work myself and refuse to pay for services that were free and fun to do. Aside from the body work I did everything else. I had one hell of a good guy take it into his shop initially after the disassembly. Unfortunately, the man died right as covid was starting its wrath on the world.  Part of me will miss it but you will not see me on the hunt for that car in the future. Whomever ends up with it will probably be here at some point. I do look forward to seeing it again and following along over time if the new owner shows up somewhere. It was headed to Texas and I haven't seen it for sale as of yet.
In the meantime I have some items and manuals to sell one of these days. Until then I will enjoy the creature comforts of a Premium GT with a stick.Thumbs UpToday I picked up my son at achool and of course he walkes through the wet sand before gerting in the car. Lol. Snow coming tonight so it was nice to get it out for a while.

The April 2023 Ride of the Month is new member Tom "MOTORCITYBADBOY's"1978 Ford Thunderbird.

Tom's 1978 T-Bird is well equipped and has some rare options.  It is powered by a 351 Windsor, has two-tone paint with color-keyed factory turbine wheels, T-tops, A/C, the performance instrument package, AM/FM 8-Track stereo. This is Tom's second T-Bird, so he has recently put the car up for sale.  With the rare combination of parts, options and paint it sure is a great 70s cruiser.

Congratulations Tom!  Let's hope the car finds a good home.

For more information on Tom's Thunderbird, follow the below link:

Here is a video of Tom's Thunderbird:

I have always loved the big birds. My parents had a '79 Thunderbird and my 1st car was an '81 Thunderbird. (smaller version of the Big bird).

Congrats on being selected Ride of the Month Tom!

The May 2023 Ride of the Month is GTS Member Tom "ptac85's"1968 Ford Torino GT.

Tom originally purchased his 1968 Torino GT in 1983 at the age of 16.  It was mostly rust free as it had never been used in snow other than in 1984.  In 2019 he began an extensive restoration process that brought the car back to better than new.

Tom's GT was originally equipped with a 390-2V, C6 transmission, front disc breaks, visibility group, console, power steering and air conditioning.  He's 390 has been rebuilt and warmed over.  It pumps out over 300 hp and over 400 lb-ft of torque.

Check out Ton's restoration story here:

Here are some pics of Tom's Torino:
