I visited Bob last week and saw the August Ride of the Month, the 73 4 speed and others.  Very nice ride and even better person!  Took a high school friend and fellow Ford man with me.  Carried home a few parts.

Within a few minutes of Bob's place we saw a homemade 3 wheeler.  A motorcycle with an old pickup bed.  Nicely done.  Hoping Bob can catch a picture of it!

The September 2021 Ride of the Month is long time member "gpd294" Carlos' 1975 Ford Gran Torino station wagon restored to like a 1973 Torino Station Wagon.

Carlos' wagon has a 400 V8 engine, a C6 automatic and was painstakingly restored to be one of the finest 70s Torino wagons in existence.  His Torino is super cool because it was a tribute to his late father.  Carlos says "My Dad bought a brand new 1973 Torino wagon back in '73. That wagon was Silver Blue Glow exterior and medium blue interior."  He goes on to say " As a kid we had a 1973 torino wagon that we would take our family vacations.....as a tribute to my Dad, who passed away...[he restored] this wagon [to be] like the one I remember growing up as a kid."

His Project thread is here:

Here are some pics of Carlos' wagon:

He still uses it as a Grocery Getter too!!

Truly Awesome Wagon Carlos!
However, the grocery picture needs those big brown paper bags with maybe a Capt'n Crunch Cereal box sticking outta one 😉

I still eat that sometimes. It's the exact same cereal now, but they took the super and sugar out of the name. I remember Quisp, and the one Special K they had then, which were very small round flakes.

I have the new original Special K, and it tastes the same, but the flakes are large and randomly shaped now. I mixed it with the Almond version I like because that is fairly crunchy.

Great story with your wagon Carlos...We had a 73 when I was growing up too, but in bronze. Unfortunately not a single picture of it although it was in the family for years. My sister who was older and a teenager at the time loved that car. We had another wagon earlier, a 58 Ford...again no pictures but it was the white and yellow so I was able to find a similar one and verify with "Pops" that was what it was like. Hopefully I'll have a wagon one day, came close a couple times 🙂

Oh, btw, No one said Honeycombs? Come on, They're BIG BIG BIG! lol

Jeff's 1971 Torino is a really nice clean survivor with original paint.  It has a 302-2V engine which he recently dressed up.

To see more pics and read more about Jeff's Torino, check out his project thread here.

You are welcome!  You have a beautiful Torino Jeff.

For anyone else reading this, if your want to see your car as the Ride of the Month, post some details and some good pictures of the car in your project thread or a photo thread.  There are lots of other cars here I'd like to select, but there aren't any decent photos posted.  Nice 3/4, side or front shots, interior and engine pics are what I am looking for.

The October 2021 Ride of the Month is long time member "aquatlow" Todd's' 1979 Ford Ranchero.

Todd's Ranchero has a 1970 429 with a 460 crankshaft and a 0.30 overbore making it a 466.  It has DOVE heads, crane roller rockers, a Comp Cams 280 magnum camshaft, a custom ignition and a Holley 770 SA carb.  It has a built C6 transmission, and a 9 3/8 rear axle with a 3.25 trac-lok.

Todds' Ranchero features tons of other upgrades, all done by him. This includes Crown Victoria 4-wheel discs brakes with hydroboost, F150 front springs and custom rear springs for a lowered stance, 3G alternator upgrade, electric fans,  and more!  Todd is definitely one of our most talented and knowledgeable members and his custom Ranchero shows off his skills and craftsmanship.

For more details, check out his webpage here:

Here are some pics of Todd's Ranchero:
