Anyone have the pleasure of installing a right side exterior remote mirror? I have 2, 1 from a '78 T-Bird and the other from a '74 Torino. After I drilled the appropriate holes on my '73 and installed the mirror the thing was sitting like almost on its side. The bases are different. I thought all these body styles were the same, not! Anyone out there has a '73 right remote mirror they would like to swap for one of mine or sell outright?  or did they even have one for '73? I have a dealers spec sheets and they do not list a right remote mirror. Here are the 2 mirrors as you can see the difference in the height in the bases.

yes i've noticed that the 77-79 ones are different with the mounting screws exposed, those car bodies have a more flatter side profile. is it possible to swap the remote guts into the 74 mirror???
if you look inside your door you can see the area in the inner reinforcement brace where the sport mirror studs go just need to drill the holes, i used the plastic mirror gasket thing as a template as to where to drill with measurements taken from the driver side door, or a long drill bit-- it could be done from the socket access holes through the inner door
