My slot mags have 5 threaded holes for the center caps. Are these wrong for an S&H car?

From what I can tell from looking at old ohotos from the show the centre caps were not screwed in place and that the cap itself was pushed through the centre of the wheel.
I had an old set of 13 inch slotted aluminum wheels and thoese caps were mounted with 4 screws on the front. I'm not sure if they were Ansen or American Racing but they were from the early 1970s. They looked pretty cool when mounted on a Mustang Ii.

I had Cragar ET slotted alloy wheels and the centers were friction fit plastic pushed on from outside.
