Would someone please confirm the correct Ford part number for the trunk emblems for a 72 GTS?
I need the "Torino" portion of the Gran Torino.  I have a perfect "Gran".

I ordered one from Ebay that I thought was the correct part number, but it must be from a plain Torino as the character height is smaller and the pins don't line up.  That number is D20Z-6542528-A.
Thanks for any info on the correct number.

I looked it up for you and your are correct, the part your have, D20Z-6542528-A. is for a base Torino.  It also lists D20Z-6542528-AA for a base Torino.

For a Gran Torino the correct part numbers are as follows:

"Gran"  D20Z-6542528-B
"Torino" D20Z-6542528-C (it also shows D20Z-6542528-BA)

Also note that the fender emblems are similar, but are not the same (IIRC, the posts sizes are different).

I might have a Gran Torino emblem among my spare parts. If I do it would be in my tarp covered old one, with the Ranchero and Sport emblems I collected.

What condition are the ones you have? Mine would be good to very good, but not virtually new looking. I hunted for nice Sport emblems in the mid 80's, I haven't looked at those part for many years.

All,
Thanks again for the replies.  It was a standard Torino emblem and I was successful in returning it to the seller.  Also, I was able to find a correct one.  Now, I just need to get the rest of the car looking as good as the emblems waiting to go on!

This correct.... the decklid lettering posts are smaller.  Be careful — a lot of times people have drilled the holes out some the larger-post fender emblems fit as a replacement.  Double check to b MC ale sure you have small holes for the small post ferrules.
