Was at Wally World after work and went to the magazines to check them out.Flipped thru this April issue of Popular Hot Rodding and they had some article about wheels and they had a Blue 72 GTS with big rims & tires but it wasn't the Pure Vision Torino of Dave Widmann,it was all blue no stripe. The said it was a sneak peak of Brian Zoeller's 72 GTS that will be featured in next issue of Popular Hot Rodding. Can't wait to see how this one was built

Well I just got some even better news - apparently it will be the May cover car!!!  I knew Hunkins (PHR editor) liked my car but I never really thought it'd make the cover.  I haven't seen it yet but someone who saw an advance copy said it was on the cover and is a 6 or 7 page feature!  Obviously I'm stoked and I really hope it helps other people appreciate what beautiful lines this car has.

The cover?  This is just GREAT!!!  All the work in that car deserve a cover Tongue

For others to see, here was your scan of the article's preview...

Congradulations Brian,it'great to see a Ford getting noticed for a change, especially a kewl 72 GTS.I can't wait to get a copy.I know your excitement causr I had a car I help build featured in 2 magazines thr 2nd mag it was cover car and centerfold.I did all the body and paint.Looking forward to someday get my build of the 73 GTS in a mag.I have big plans for it but will take awhile to build.Doing the work is not a problem it's affording all the parts for the modifications that will take the time to afford.I think your car will keep alot of us Torino owners inspired while we build our cars. It's great to see your hard work will be admired by others and get some exposure to these cars.maybe the new found popularity and media attention will help getting some aftermarket parts companies to start making some stuff. If the start to see a demand, they might spend the money to make some parts, cause we all know there isn't much out there for replacement body parts except used stuff. Congradulations on the cover Brian

Wow great news Brian! Maybe your feature car will stir some to finally start ramping up production of aftermarket parts.

I totally agree that hopefully we'll start to see more aftermarket support for these cars.  It really does seem like we are seeing a revival of interest in these cars and hopefully that will translate into more parts.   I get so tired of looking at "applications" for a cool suspension part and only seeing "torino '68-'71" or some variant thereof that doesn't include '72 or '73.

The magazine has officially hit the streets and even though its only a small picture on the cover they have a great burnout pic on the table of contents page and the feature itself is 6 pages long and very well done.  My hats off to PHR for a great job!

Awesome pics!  Congrats on the shoot and great burnout!

Suppliers just have to start noticing these cars.  There are too many references, they are making it in mainstream movies, commercials and publications.  C'mon Sherman, Dynacorn, Year One, Autokrafters, Dearborn Classics, etc., get with the program!

KEWL! can't wait to get a copy. I agree that aftermarket parts need to br made but Goodmark is the one who needs to take notice as they are the big supplier of classic car sheetmetal.I have half a body of new sheetmetal for a 66 Chevelle in my garage for a car i'm restoring the body. They are also the ones making all the MOPAR sheetmetal, now we need Ford Torino's and a I would have them start with full quarters and roof panels,so we can save more of these cars then from there floor and trunk floor with some 1 piece versions. These are awesome cars but most have the usual rust issues.outer rear wheel wells would be another good thing to repop cause once the quarter goes so does the wheel well.Believe me if I had the money and know how to do the tooling I would do it cause I love these cars and money could be made as all the Torino people would be buying full quarters if they were available. So back to reallity,it was a nice dream

Saw the end price on the sale. I am stunned she only brought around $28K. Hopefully it went to a good home!
