On the side, I build dulcimers, banjos, and mandolins.

On the side of that, I collect,repair, and rebuild the Xj-series Yamaha motorcycles, and have received numerous trophies.

On the side of THAT--I have my 2 torinos........and a number of other projects, as well.

I am a NYC Firefighter. I retired 7 years ago. Not because I wanted. 9/11 health problems pushed me out. I also drove tractor trailers over the road moving over dimensional machines for 10 years. I have been driving cement mixers for 35 years, while in the FDNY. Worked nights in FH, days in mixer. Had to. NYC FF doesent pay very well. Especially in the beginning. Had to work 2-3 jobs during my career. Even so, it’s still the greatest job in the world.

Retirement is the goal for sure, I hope everyone can make it and appreciate some better quality time.

I should have quit years ago, I was trying to reach 30 years, but now it's not worth it. I'll be at 85% full retirement in six weeks, I hope to go before Christmas. Guess what I've done since 1990, this was last August;

I have collected a lot of parts for my projects, and I don't have the space to work or store anything really anymore. I need a much bigger garage and parking space, private enough to not worry about bothersome neighbors of course. So a new house is my big goal this Fall, if I get lucky I can move and be happy in the Winter.
